CoD Downs Yogg-Saron-10

A team downed Yogg-Saron-10 on Sunday. For whatever reason, Yogg-Saron-10 had not been on our radar for a long time. Some of the team had never tried it. I honestly don't remember trying it myself, though Lyshra uploaded an image from an attempt back in July (she may just be good at Photoshop.)

I would love to write up what a great fight it was - but it would all be a lie. We heavily out geared the encounter. I certain felt some satisfaction in downing him. But the fight did not have an epic feel to it. It felt more like some level 30's going back into Deadmines and roughing up Van Cleef.

Friday's Heroic CC-10 Downs the First Two Bosses

Arianah's Heroic CC-10 team downed Heroic Northrend Beasts and Jaraxxus for the second week in a row. Great work!

Monday's Heroic CC-25 PROGRESSION Run Sign Ups

We could use a few more of the top veterans for Monday's Heroic CC-25 run. Signups look light. So, if you have any interest in the toughest 25 man encounter that we can face right now, sign up.

Also, please note that we scheduled this event to start at 7:30 server time, similar to the other CC events this week.

CoD Downs Heroic Anub'arak-10 with 47 Tries Remaining

A team downed Heroic Anub'arak-10 on Sunday with 47 attempts still available; thus snagging A Tribute to Mad Skill.

The team wiped once on Northrend Beasts, just to start the night off right. They followed that up with two wipes on Anub'arak, one of them deep in phase 3. The third time was the charm, though the actual kill was a bit ugly and involved Squelchy evasion tanking at the end.

This puts CoD as the only Alliance guild on SoE with that achievement. While there were only 10 people on the team, just about every raiding member in CoD has helped out in some way. All of CoD's raiders chipped in at some point to earn the regular CC gear that the team wore. The team's strategies were built on the efforts of many people's attempts. Everyone should take some measure of pride in being a part of the accomplishment.

Anub'arak puts up quite a fight. I look forward to seeing more Dragons take a shot at him on Heroic.

Tuesday's Heroic CC-25 PROGRESSION Run Sign Ups

We could use a few more of the top veterans for Tuesday's Heroic CC-25 run. Signups look good with strong players across the board, but we could still use a few more. We slot PROGRESSION runs for success, so we will build the strongest team we can from the signups.

I really hope to see a lot of phase 3 (Icehowl) tonight. We may well down the event if we get our best crew.

Also, please note that we scheduled this event to start at 7:30 server time, rather than the normal 7:00 server time. Due to a few raiders' schedules, we had typically started a few minutes late. Rather than having 20+ people sitting around, we pushed the start time back.

CoD Ends Their Recruiting Drive

CoD has ended their recruiting drive. Any applications in the queue will be processed. We feel we will likely have enough members of the right class mix to meet our raiding goals.

CoD Downs Heroic Twin Valkyrs-10

We downed the Twin Valkyrs on Heroic-10 over the weekend. Along the way we one-shot Heroic Northrend Beasts and the Faction Champions. We then tried Anub'arak... many times. He's still down there.

We will be trying to run a second Heroic Crusaders' Coliseum group this week. Details in a bit.

Changing DKP on a Few Ulduar Mobs

We have reached the point with a few Ulduar bosses that we shard most of the loot. In order to prevent the Naxxramas inflation problem, we will change these bosses to award 1 DKP (down from 3) and main spec items from these bosses will only cost 12 DKP (down from 25).

The bosses are: Flame Leviathan, Razorscale, XT-002, Kologarn, Auriaya.
